Top Down Leadership
Whether you are a Captain of a ship, or an Asst. Principal of an Adult School, you may be reviled by your crew/staff, or be a hero. In the case of my boss, Angela DiMascio, she is a Hero. She took a 2-teacher department and turned it into a 25+ thriving center of Adult ESL Education. I have had the pleasure of knowing Angela for a long time and have seen her in action. Not only does she define the words "Multi-Tasker," she does her job with complete calm and tranquility. In over 20+ years, I have never seen Angela get ruffled, no matter the situation. She is always present and is an excellent listener. She has created a sense of loyalty in her teachers because of her leadership style. Angela is also in charge of all the Academic Programs at the school an oversees all the graduations. In spite of her busy schedule, you will often find her in her office, counseling students and helping others. She brings great energy and enthusiasm to her job every day and her spirit uplifts and inspires those around her. I thank Angela for all she has done for me and for the school!
