Mentors and Artists
It is always good to have a mentor. Ed McBride, author of the Downtown series (ESL books) has been a wonderful mentor to me. And he is a fabulous writer. Also, Eleanor Comegys of Fairfax and LA High Adult Schools has been a great inspiration. Eleanor brings her acting skills to the classroom, entertaining and enthralling students as she teaches and informs. She and Ed use their creativity in the arts in the classroom. When you are standing in front of 40 or more adults, especially at night, you better have something interesting to say! And they do!
